Alo Moves centers its annual outreach around two key moments: the start of the year, when people are motivated to establish new routines, and the first day of Mental Health Awareness Month, when people reflect on the routines that are — and are not — working for them.
For their 2024 Mental Health Awareness campaign, Alo Moves was looking for creative that was emotionally driving, based on the insight that many young women feel more isolated than ever. A quote from Dorothy Day helped me establish a POV: “We have all known the long loneliness. And we have learned that the only solution is love. And that love comes with community.”
From there, I wrote a script and tagline around the idea of two friends who might embark on a wellness adventure together, in turn changing their own lives, and each other’s.
We shot the campaign film and photography over one day in LA, and have been rolling it out through organic and paid marketing, inviting potential users to Find Yourself. Together.
